Mexican telecom complaints double in Q3

Mexico's 'Soy Usuario' online consumer platform received a total of 5,855 complaints in the third quarter of 2018, nearly double the 2,892 received in the April to June period, according to the country's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) and consumer protection agency Profeco. Nearly 43 percent of the complaints corresponded to service failures, followed by billing and portability issues, with mobile telephony accounting for around 45 percent of the complaints, followed by internet and fixed telephony with 22 percent and 5 percent respectively.
