Mexican telecom sector grows 9.5% from 2002 to 2012

The telecommunications sector in Mexico grew at an average annual rate of 9.5 percent between 2002 and 2012 to reach MXN 404.2 billion, according to the Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT), reports Dinero. Most segments of the telecoms sector had similar levels of concentration. Some 90 percent of the sector was generated by three services: mobile telephony with 51.5 percent; fixed telephony with 25.1 percent and pay-TV with 11.5 percent.
