Mexican telecom user complaints rise to nearly 9,000 in Q3

Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) said the 'Soy Usuario' online consumer platform it runs with consumer protection agency Profeco received 8,876 complaints about telecom services in the third quarter of 2021, up over 3,500 compared to the 5,202 received in the previous quarter. The vast majority of the complaints (78%) have already been resolved, 7.9 percent are still being processed while the remainder were cancelled by the users themselves or abandoned due to lack of interest.
