Mexican triple-play adoption doubles - IFT

Around 54 percent of telecommunications customers paying between MXN 501 and MXN 700 a month subscribed to triple-play plans with pay-TV, fixed broadband and mobile services at the end of 2017, up from 23.5 percent a year earlier, according to a report from regulator IFT. However, less than 6 percent of subscribers paying less than MXN 500 a month are signed up to triple-play services. The survey also found that nearly 28 percent of users paying less than MXN 300 a month for their broadband service enjoyed speeds above 20Mbps, up from 14 percent a year earlier.
