Mexico's central bank has announced that it intends to set up a new cybersecurity unit following a recent cyber attack that affected half a dozen financial institutions. Bank of Mexico governor Alejandro Diaz de Leon said authorities were still working out how cyber criminals attacked payment system connections but that around MXN 300 million in fraudulent transfers had been detected.
