Mexico extends coronavirus offers to MVNO and satellite broadband customers

Thursday 16 April 2020 | 14:42 CET | News
Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) has announced more solidarity measures to mitigate effects of the coronavirus outbreak. The regulator has reached a deal with the Altan Redes consortium that runs Mexico's 4.5G shared network (Red Compartida) to ensure all customers of MVNOs on the network can access the promotional offers already offered by the country's MNOs. As a result, customers of Megacable, Newww, Retemex, Servitron, Vasanta, Wimo and ADS Mobile, among others, can access a bundle with calls and SMS plus 10GB of data for MXN 100 during the emergency.
