Mexico govt invests MXN 45 mln in Sonora fibre network

The Mexican government has invested over MXN 45 million in the deployment of a fibre optic backbone network in the State of Sonora. The project aims to expand the population's access to internet and e-government services, Milenio reports, citing Alejandro Valdes, head of the state's Innovation Office. The project is developed in partnership with Telmex.
