Mexico launches consultation on wholesale fibre-optic costs

Monday 19 September 2016 | 10:30 CET | News
Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) has launched a public consultation on the cost model for unbundled local loop access to the fibre-optic network of the dominant fixed line operator Telmex (America Movil). All stakeholders as well as the general public are invited to submit comments over the next 20 working days with a view to improving the cost model applied to Telmex's infrastructure and ultimately promoting competition in the telecommunications industry.
