Mexico launches consultation over DTT channel auction

Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) has launched a 20-day public consultation on the initial conditions governing the forthcoming auction of 148 new DTT licences for commercial channels. The regulator said it plans to run the tender on an ascending clock basis for each available channel. Each licence will cover the provision of a DTT channel in the VHF and UHF bands for a period of 20 years.
