Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) has confirmed that several of the country's pay-TV channels are repeatedly exceeding the limit of 6 minutes of advertising per hour and is considering a possible fine, reports business daily El Economista. The watchdog accepted a complaint lodged by Grupo Televisa brands including Izzi, Sky Mexico, Dish and Totalplay against companies including Fox, Disney and HBO, which are accused of having infringed article 237 of the country's Telecommunications and Broadcasting Law.
