Mexico posts highest mobile broadband growth in OECD

In fixed broadband Mexico registered a 5.0 percent annual growth in lines in the year to June 2019, higher than the OECD average of 2.4 percent, helped by an 18.6 percent increase in the number of fibre-optic lines. The country also posted the fourth highest growth in fixed broadband penetration from June 2013 to June 2019, rising 49.0 percent over the 6-year period, behind only Portugal (60.2%), Turkey (57.4%) and Colombia (49.9%).
