Mexico to auction two orbital slots

Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) will launch an auction for two orbital satellite positions for commercial use "in the next few weeks", El Economista reports, citing Jose Ignacio Peralta, Mexico's Undersecretary of Communications. The statement was made at the Latin American Satellite Communications & Broadcasting Summit (Lasat). These slots will be used for provision of satellite communications services, including data, DTH, and corporate networks. The two orbital positions are at 113.0° west and 116.8° west, covering the entire Mexican territory. Mexican regulator IFT
