Mexico to launch bidding for 2.5 GHz band by end of year

Brazil's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) could launch an auction for the 2.5 GHz frequency band in the last quarter of 2016, reports El Economista. Alejandro Navarrete, director of radio frequency spectrum unit of IFT, said the auction could be carried out in the second half or the last quarter of the year and then the licences would be awarded in 2017.
