Mexico to review measures on Televisa, America Movil

After two years of establishing America Movil and Televisa Group as preponderant economic players in telecommunications and broadcasting, respectively, Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) will assess whether to maintain or eliminate asymmetric measures under the current conditions of competition. IFT commissioner Maria Elena Estavillo told El Financiero that during the revierw that will begin this month, the regulator will need to ensure that measures are defined remain useful and effective in achieving the initial objectives.
