Mexico's Altan Redes confirms interest in 2.5 GHz band

The Altan Redes consortium that's rolling out Mexico's 4G shared network (Red Compartida) is one of the 5 entities to have expressed an interest in the forthcoming tender for spectrum in the 2.5 GHz band, reports local daily El Universal, citing the company's vice president Eugenio Galdon. Altan is still evaluating whether or not to participate in the tender, either as a consortium or individually, said Galdon during a press conference. Mexican regulator has promised that all bidders without PCS, AWS or 2.5 GHz band licences, including Altan, will be given incentives to take part in the
