Mexico's IFT green lights TV Azteca multiprogramming

Monday 3 April 2017 | 10:50 CET | News
Mexico's Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT) has announced that its board approved the use of multiprogramming technology by broadcasters TV Azteca (Grupo Salinas) and Televisa. The approval means TV Azteca will be able to use multiprogramming for the first time to provide access to Azteca 7 and its new a+ channel in regions all over the country. Televisa, meanwhile, will be able to offer multiprogramming in four regions via the channels Gala TV and XHGC-TV Canal 5 of its Radiotelevisora de Mexico Norte subsidiary.
