Mexico's Megacable removes 14 channels from Televisa lineup

Mexican pay-TV operators Televisa and Megacable have announced that starting on 09 September Megacable will no longer broadcast 14 Televisa Networks channels. In separate statements to the Mexican stock market, the companies confirmed that Megacable decided to cease transmission of the channels Gala TV, Unicable, TL Novelas, De Pelicula, Golden, Golden Edge, Distrito Comedia, Bandamax, Ritmoson, Telehit and TIIN. However, Televisa said its Canal 2, Canal 4, Canal 5 and Canal 9 channels will still be available on free to air.
