Mexico's 4G shared network (Red Compartida) currently reaches around 45 million people in 282 localities and remains on track to reach 56 million people, around half of the country's population, by January 2020, according to an update from the Altan Redes consortium that's rolling out the infrastructure. The company switched on the network in Tuxtla Gutierrez and Villahermosa earlier this month following Cuernavaca and Veracruz in May, adding nearly 3 million people to its coverage total.
