Mexico's Telecomm ends consultation on wholesale fibre network

Mexican state-owned operator Telecomm announced that it received 8 expressions of interest from national and international players during the public consultation stage on its bidding process to create a wholesale fibre-optic network (Red Troncal). Telecomm was awarded the concession to the fibre-optic backbone network of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) in 2015, and was tasked with drawing up a three-year investment and infrastructure development plan.
