Mexico's Telecomm set to launch wholesale fibre services

Mexican state-owned operator Telecomm will launch its wholesale fibre-optic services as soon as communications regulator approves its public reference offer, reports local daily Milenio, citing Telecomm CEO Jorge Juraidini. Telecomm was awarded the concession to the fibre-optic backbone network of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) in 2015, and was tasked with drawing up a three-year investment and infrastructure development plan. Juraidini confirmed that it will proceed to offer wholesale broadband and telephony services via the 25,000 km fibre-optic backbone when it receives the IFT's
