Mexico's Televisa acquires rest of TVI for MXN 6.75 bln

Mexican broadcaster Televisa has announced the acquisition of the 50 percent remaining stake in cable operator Television Internacional (TVI) it didn't already own for MXN 6.75 billion (around USD 378 million), including MXN 5.49 billion in debt. TVI's previous shareholders, directly and indirectly, were GIETV and Multimedios Group, and the completion of the transaction comes after Televisa was given conditional authorisation to acquire all of the TVI's shares from Mexican regulator IFT.
