Mexico's Televisa to use Ericsson HD delivery tech

Friday 21 April 2017 | 10:12 CET | News
Ericsson has announced a contract to provide a new end-to-end primary distribution system for Mexican pay-TV giant Televisa. The system features Ericsson's AVP Encoder with the latest HEVC compression module, the MX8400 Multiplexer and many RX8200 HEVC receivers with integrated DVB-S2X de-modulator. Ericsson said the deployment of both DVB-S2X and HEVC will allow Televisa to increase the number of high definition services it distributes while maintaining the best picture quality and without requiring additional bandwidth.
