Mexico's Totalplay posts 33% sales rise on home broadband takeup

Mexican triple-play operator Totalplay (Grupo Salinas) said revenues climbed 33 percent year on year to MXN 5.68 billion in the final quarter of 2020, thanks mainly to a 57 percent revenue rise in the residential segment. As a result, Totalplay's EBITDA grew 53 percent year on year to MXN 2.47 billion, from MXN 1.61 billion a year earlier, with the EBITDA margin increasing by six percentage points to 44 percent. Operating income more than doubled to MXN 651 million in the October to December period, while net income rose to MXN 307 million from MXN 129 million a year earlier.
