Michigan allows testing of self-driving, connected cars

The state of Michigan has signed in a legislative package that will allow the full testing of self-driving vehicles, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) noted. The organisation said self-driving and connected cars have the potential to reduce more than 90 percent of accidents caused by human error, provide independence to seniors and the visually-impaired, reduce traffic and minimize congestion and is calling on more states to follow Michigan's model.
