Microsoft, ABB to launch new electric car charging platform

Microsoft has teamed up with electric vehicle charging technology specialist ABB to launch a new fast-charging services platform. Under the terms of the partnership, Microsoft will provide its Azure cloud platform to build the next generation of charging services and ensure "stability, global scalability and advanced management features," said the partners in a joint statement. In addition, the companies will be harnessing machine learning and predictive analytic capabilities to drive future innovations.
