Microsoft becomes AI partner for Novartis

Microsoft has announced a major new cooperation with Swiss healthcare company Novartis, which has started a new AI innovation lab. The companies will work together at the lab to see how artificial intelligence can transform how medicines are discovered, developed and commercialised. The multi-year deal will have two main objectives, to bring AI to every Novartis associate and to create new AI models and applications for them, and to see how AI can be used to within the life sciences, to provide personalised therapy for example, or gene therapies at scale.
