Microsoft's Windows Phone Apps team started a contest aimed at developers of Windows Phone OS apps which is named 'Windows Phone Next App Star'. The winning app will be placed in a Windows Phone prime-time TV ad in the US. To participate, registered developers can visit Dev Center to opt-in by 5 March and their catalogue of published apps will be entered in the competition. Those who have not yet developed a Windows Phone app (or they want to make tweaks to an existing app) can register and publish their app by 5 March to participate.
