Microsoft names Elkabbany as head of Africa Transformation Office

Microsoft has appointed Wael Elkabbany to lead its newly established Africa Transformation Office (ATO), which will partner with public and private organisations to "foster economic prosperity". Elkabbany moves from leading enterprise sales for Microsoft in the Middle East and Africa, after previously holding roles at British Telecom and other leading businesses in the region. He hails from Egypt and has a B.Sc. in communication engineering, and has done postgraduate studies in corporate governance, international trade and financial planning.
