Microsoft, News Corp to launch apps for Xbox Live

Microsoft and News Corporation plan to launch a series of applications that will feature content from News Corporation's broadcast, news and web properties, reports Fierce Cable. The applications will incorporate content and voice and motion activated controls using Kinect for Xbox 360 from brands including Fox Broadcasting, Fox News Channel, IGN Entertainment and The Wall Street Journal. Video content from the Fox News Channel and Fox applications will be made available to authenticated subscribers of participating cable and satellite TV distributors. News expects to announce authentication
