Microsoft sells Lumia 532 and 435 through Jumia in Kenya

Microsoft East Africa has used the Jumia online portal to launch the Lumia 532 and 435 smartphones at KES 8,699 and KES 11,750. By using Jumia, Microsoft hopes to tap into the growing online shopping culture to reach out to a wide audience. Mariam Abdullahi, GM for Microsoft Mobile Devices Sales in East Africa, says Jumia orders grew by 900 percent in 2014, after the Nairobi portal opened in March 2013.
