Microsoft simplifies app development for Windows Phone

Microsoft announced the launch of the Windows Phone App Studio to make it easier to develop apps for the OS. The free, web-based app creation tool allows users to apply text, web content, imagery and design concepts to a range of customizable app templates. Users just need a Microsoft account to use the platform. Microsoft also added a new 'click to chat' feature to its Windows Phone Dev Center for developers to get support from Microsoft representatives.
