Microsoft to take green energy from Eneco wind farm in North Sea

Microsoft has signed a new wind energy agreement in the Netherlands with green energy company Eneco. The company will purchase 90 MW from the 731.5 MW offshore wind project, Borssele III/IV. Under the deal, Eneco will provide Microsoft's datacentres with green power for 15 years starting in 2022. Eneco is one of the shareholders of Borssele III/IV, an offshore wind project currently being developed in the Dutch part of the North Sea. The energy company has secured a 15-year power purchase agreement for half of the power generated by project.
