Microsoft's Kenyan 'white space' internet plan faces delay

Microsoft's bid to commercialise low-cost wireless internet, which is being tested in Laikipia and Nanyuki in central Kenya, may take longer, as the industry regulator said laws to monitor such technology are not yet in place. The Director-General of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), Francis Wangusi, told Business Daily that the standards on which the television white space technology will be deployed will be known during the World Radio Conference meeting in November (WRC-15).
