Mid-range devices dominate Mexico smartphone sales in Q4

The total number of smartphones in Mexico grew to 112.5 million at the end of 2019, with mid-range devices increasingly consolidating their dominance of the market, according to data from the Competitive Intelligence Unit (CIU) cited by Xataka Mexico. After previously reporting that a total of 35 million users replaced their handset this year, some 11 million of them with second-hand devices, the new data reveals a growing trend towards mid-range and high-end handsets.
