Ministry to double 'Mexico Conectado' budget

Mexico's Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT) has requested a budget of over MXN 516 million for the Mexico Conectado national connectivity programme in 2018, nearly double the amount allocated this year, reports local daily El Universal. Last year the amount was cut reduced by 84 percent due to government budget cuts. SCT proposes to use 92 percent of the budget for the e-Mexico social inclusion trust fund.
