Missouri starts probe into Google's way of handling data

Tuesday 14 November 2017 | 08:30 CET | News
Missouri has started looking into how Google handles private customer data, to see if it is manipulating search results to favour its own products, the Kansas Star reported. The state attorney general has launched a three-prong investigation into the matter: the investigation will consider the scope of Google's data collection, whether it has abused its market position as a dominant search engine and whether it uses competitor content as much as its own in search results. The state has issued Google a subpoena seeking information about its business practices.
