Mobile accounts for 78% of UK digiital ad spend - study

UK digital ad spend increased by 16.4 percent to a record GBP 8.61 billion in 2015, according to the latest report from the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PwC. The 16.4 percent year-on-year rise in spend was the highest rate since 2008 (17.1%). The report shows that the average home now owns 8.3 internet devices, up 12 percent in a year. Connected TVs saw the biggest rise in ownership (27%) followed by smartphones (21%), whilst laptops (18%) outgrew tablets (16%).
