Mobile broadband subs up 6% to 1.38 bln in OECD area

Mobile broadband subscriptions in the 37 OECD countries reached 102 percent penetration in December 2017, having grown 6.1 percent year on year to 1.38 billion, according to an update to the OECD's broadband portal. The fastest growth was seen in Greece (24%) followed by Chile (23%), Poland (19%) and Belgium (15%), said the accompanying report, while the countries with the highest mobile broadband penetration were Japan, Finland, Estonia and the US.
