Mobile operators to test Tube coverage in London - report

Thursday 10 August 2017 | 11:21 CET | News
London Mayor Sadiq Khan is expected to announce a trial of mobile signals on the Tube system, reports The Telegraph. Chinese telecoms equipment maker Huawei is understood to be working with Transport for London (TfL) on the trial, which will run on the Waterloo and City line. Mobile operators will take turns to test their networks for a week on the line, with engineering work taking place overnight and on weekends when the line is closed.
