Mobile Premier League raises USD 90 mln in new financing round

India-based e-sports and mobile gaming platform Mobile Premier League (MPL) raised USD 90 million in a new financing round, bringing MPL's total raised investment to USD 130.5 million, according to TechCrunch.com. SIG, early-stage tech investor RTP Global, and MDI Ventures led MPL's Series C financing round, with participation from existing investors Sequoia India, Go-Ventures, and Base Partners. Times Internet and actor Salman Khan are also early investors in MPL.
