Mobistar buys Euphony telecom ops in Belgium

Monday 14 April 2014 | 08:58 CET | News
Mobistar has taken over the Belgian telecom operations of Euphony, which recently declared bankruptcy, La Libre reported. Euphony sold the telecom services of Mobistar and the energy services of Luminus. Mobistar decided to buy part of the company activities, namely its ADSL and fixed telephony operations, in order to ensure continuity for customers. A number of personnel will move to Mobistar and the brand will be absorbed into the Mobistar group. No financial details were disclosed. Euphony's Dutch activities were earlier acquired by local investors and excluded from the group's bankruptcy.
