Mobistar pays EUR 1.2 mln for wholesale cable access

Mobistar announced it will pay cable operators Telenet and Brutele-Tecteo (Voo) each EUR 600,000 euro as part of the costs for opening up their networks for wholesale services. As a result, the operators have a deadline of six months to make the technical preparations necessary for alternative providers such as Mobistar to resell the cable broadband and TV services. In December 2013, the Belgian regulators agreed on the tariffs for the wholesale services. Brutele, Coditel (Numericable), Tecteo and Telenet are all required to offer wholesale access to their networks for analogue and digital TV
