Mobitel signs R&D collaboration agreement with university of Sri Jayewardenepura

Sri Lanka's Mobitel has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with one of the country's universities to carry out joint research and development activities in several areas, including 5G, internet of things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI). The mobile operator will collaborate with the faculty of engineering within the university of Sri Jayewardenepura (Colombo District), enabling students to gain valuable exposure to next generation telecom networks and applications.
