Montenegro mobile penetration reaches 175.6 percent

The mobile telephony penetration rate in Montenegro reached a record high of 175.6 percent at the end of February. The number of mobile users in Montenegro grew to 1.09 million, or 66.5 percent more than in February 2006. Data from the Telecommunication Agency shows that 80 percent of mobile users have prepaid packages. In February, ProMonte's market share grew to 42.06 percent, T-Mobile grew slightly to 34.7 percent and MTel fell to 23.2 percent.
