Montenegro plans 5G auction for 2021

Montenegro's Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Activity (Ekip) will call an auction in the second half of 2021 for the allocation of free wireless frequencies, including for the implementation of 5G networks. The information is contained in the regulator's annual plan for 2021, which has entered the parliamentary procedure, reports Pobjeda. The plan foresees that, by mid-2022, all resources from the 694-790 MHz and 3400-3800 MHz bands, as well as 1 GHz spectrum in the 24.25 to 27 GHz block, will be available for the implementation of the MFCN system, including the 5G mobile
