Montepellier taps WiSeed crowd funding for local start-ups

Eleven start-ups from Montpellier, France, have become candidates in a funding process uses online voting by the public at large to increase their chances of finding business angels, La Tribune reports. The initiative began in September 2011 at the JumpInvest conference in the city. The eleven businesses have produced video and PDF presentations at an ad hoc website developed by Toulouse-based crowd funding specialist WiSeed. Visitors simply click on "like" or "don't like" before being sent to another page where they provide their e-mail address to ensure that there is only one vote per
