More French TV viewers 'resume play' on different screen – study

French internet households have an average of 6.4 screens, across TVs, PCs, smartphones and tablets, according to Mediametrie's annual 'Screen 360' survey. This study, completed in mid-2017, found that 21 percent of internet users start watching content on one screen and finish viewing the same programme on another, representing an increase of five percentage points from the year-earlier period. Among these users, those who start a programme on their main TV are more likely to follow on viewing on their smartphone (47%) than on the PC screen (37%).
