More Germans buy drugstore, beauty products online - Bitkom

Almost half (48%) of online shoppers in Germany have purchased drugstore and beauty products online, with 72 percent of them buying these items online occasionally, according to a new survey by industry group Bitkom. In 2012, only 23 percent of online shoppers purchased these items on the internet. Over half (58%) of women who have shopped online in the last 12 months have purchased items such as perfume, cosmetics and other drugstore products. This compares to 40 percent of men. Online purchases of these items is most popular with online shoppers aged 50-64 years (52%), followed by 14-29
