More Norfolk premises get fibre broadband access

Norfolk County Council announced that the first Better Broadband for Norfolk (BBfN) programme contract has been completed three months early, reaching more premises than expected and coming in under budget. The partnership with BT has given fibre-enabled broadband access to 185,885 mainly rural homes and businesses. More than 80 percent of households and businesses in Norfolk now have access to a superfast broadband service (24 Megabits per second and above), nearly double the number who could receive these speeds in 2012 before the BBfN programme launched.
