More than half (53%) of broadband households in the US will live without a MVPD service by 2025, up from 27 percent in 2020, with pay-TV services losing 36 percent of their 2020 subscriber base by this time, according to new research from The Diffusion Group (TDG).

One quarter (25%) of US broadband homes are inclined to some degree to cancel their pay-TV service, with 13 percent moderately likely or definitely likely to. This means that 14 million US broadband households are more than slightly likely to drop pay-TV services completely, of which almost half will do so in 2020.
